Delivered a customized furniture solution for 1,536 workstations and 695 offices on 26 floors in 2 buildings — in 12 weeks with 100% on-time delivery.
Smart.

The new 1.1 million-square-foot global headquarters of Vertex in Boston’s Innovation District took years of planning and hundreds of millions of dollars in investment. Designed to stimulate collaboration, the campus unites all of their Massachusetts employees in one central location. Employees from 10 locations in the Cambridge area are now based in two, 15-story interconnected buildings overlooking the harbor at Fan Pier.

Planning for this new headquarters complex took several years and included a 40-employee cross-functional “engagement team” who made design recommendations. As part of the in-depth process for selecting the furniture solution for the workspaces, the team looked at eight manufacturers, including all the major players. The selection process included having mockups from four manufacturers that employees evaluated and voted on.

Flexibility to customize the workspace solution to meet precise requirements and the ability to deliver the products to meet a strict delivery schedule were key factors in the selection of our furniture solution.

“From design to manufacturing to delivery and installation, Inscape and Peabody Office Furniture did not miss a beat. The project was completed within 12 weeks as planned despite numerous obstacles generally encountered during build-out projects. The end result was a finished product that we could all be proud of, finished on time and on budget. A remarkable feat.”
